About us
Who we are:
We are a Non-Profit organisation in Chicago, Paarl East, South Africa and we are working in our community for the past 6 years helping those in need. All our children are coming from homes that are affected by drugs and alcohol abuse, gangsterism and unemployment.
We also run a Soup kitchen on Wednesdays, and outreach programs throughout the year. (Although we are poor and underprivileged, we believe in sharing and caring).
Our programs also include:
- ​sports
- educational sessions
- religious interactions
- arts & culture
- and life skill outings.
We have an Internet Café to help the scholars and college kids with assignments and also render a service to the community, due to lack of resources, and we also have Holiday Programs.
Background of our founder:
Vanessa Adams is a police official and is working for the past 14 years at Paarl LCRC as a Forensic Investigator. She dedicates her free time to help the community and those in need, and also opened her home as a Safe Haven.
She was one of fourteen (14) ladies which were chosen by Valcare as a Protea of the Valley 2019 for her contribution in our communities. Valcare also made a video of her on when it all started and can be watch on their page under Heroes of the community.
